Dulce de Leche Boutique

This was BY FAR my favorite EVERYTHING in Valencia. The Dulce de Leche Boutique is located in a corner street, very close to the historic district
(Calle del Pintor Gisbert, 2 46006 Valencia, Spain)
It's the cutest coffee shop and I completely fell in love with it. They have a large variety of pastries/meals with reasonable cheap prices, too! Since I have major sweet tooth, and have been homesick for Argentinian treats- I had a very hard time deciding what to get. I ended up getting a poppy-seed lemon cake with an almond milk latte. They got busy after we ordered, line was out the door and it seemed like people were having a hard time finding a place to sit. If there's a line, it's definitely worth the wait!

Inside table, this filled up in about 10 minutes!

Again, filled up quickly after we got there. I like the variety of chairs and the vibe from the cafe.

I received this order by mistake, but had to snap a photo of that colorful cheesecake! Their latte quality was beyond any I had tasted- smooth and light.

Signs outside.
I wish I could have a bite of everything!

Those alfajorcitos were also sold in packs, and are the most delicious I've ever had.

Templo de Deboid

We walked along the streets for some time, and then ended up running into a ferry ride! They were cheap, but since it was one of the last ones there wasn't a ferry for the way back. It was a good 15 minute ride above a large trail park.

We ended up 30 minutes by car from where we were, but we couldn't find a way to get home. There were no taxi's or buses going into Madrid. I had to manage downloading Uber and remembering my passport number, as my phone was running out of battery and we were loosing sunlight! It was pitch black by the time we were able to get a ride.

Toledo, Spain

We took the renfe from Estacion de Atocha to Toledo- I think it was under an hour ride. The trains are so clean and comfy! It dropped us off about 10 minutes from the entrance of the city. Walking through this little town in between made us feel like we were in another world.

Hand painted plates and home decor.

Walking the streets...

Overlook of the town from the old library.

Parque del Retiro, Madrid

Mesmerized by these fall colors!

Jardin inside the park

Palacio de Cristal- I was stoked to finally get to see this beauty in person, but when we got there it was closed! They had an event going on and closed it without an estimated time of reopening. I guess we could've gone back on one of our extra days. Anyway, it was beautiful from the outside, but did not meet my expectations. It's in the middle of the park, so it's quite a walk to get there. Maybe the view from the inside during sunrise is different than the outside views we got.

IN LOVE with the streets in Madrid.

Madrid: Day 1

La Plaza Mayor- walked from our cute little basement Air B&B to this beauty. Definitely one of the pricier parts of Madrid, but that comes with the tourism.

Mercado de San Miguel. It definitely is worth the crowd to try a variety of Spanish dishes. Overall in Spain, fruits and vegetables were the most affordable and cheapest foods.

The best beer I've ever tasted. Those Spaniards know how to do things right
Night walks are anything but quiet- everyone is out dining with family or friends. I think this is one of the most beautiful customs in this culture- enjoying food and drinks outdoors.
